My New York City Metro & Long Island connection:
My family resides in Manhattan. I love the diversity and culture of the city. Although it has the typical urban challenges, I can't think of a better place to raise a family!

My family:
I have been married to my wonderful husband since June 2002. We had our first son in 2004 and second son in 2007.

My fun fact:
During college, I babysat for Dustin Hoffman.

My life before baby:
I graduated from Columbia and then worked in various research and finance positions in corporate America. I left Time Inc. (my last nine-to-five job) when I had my first son. I am also the founder of a social and support group for moms.

My life in the BabyZone:
I love being a parent. I love the daily exploration of this period of my life. I attend a lot of events and playdates with my son, and I enjoy experiencing the city through his eyes.

My hobbies and passions:
I am active in my local church. I love reading (especially magazines and non-fiction books) and I am an all around information junkie!

My best parenting tip: Do what works best for you and your family! You will get a ton of conflicting advice on a variety of parenting topics. Learn from others, but ultimately do what works best for you and your family. Each family (like each individual) is unique.
